The Design Tales

Located at Corso Europa 22, in the historic center of Milan, the Vico Magistratti office building was re-designed to house the Japanese animation company Studio Ghibli.

Apart from the office spaces, a multi-functional community was created by which both the employees and the public would be able to experience the entire building without a rigid division between the spaces.

Each floor’s concept was centered around the different movies produced by Studio Ghibli. 
The second and third floor’s design was based on the movie 'Princess Mononoke’. Hence a feeling of adventure, mysticism, and nature was conveyed with the use of varied materials and forms.
